I was recently given the task of purchasing a new air compressor as well as a couple of screw compressors for our company. During this process I spoke with a number of different suppliers with mixed success.

I am some what of an old fashioned kind of person and for this reason I expect a high level of customer service. For me this should be a given in any organisation however this is not always the case. I was quite surprised at the very low levels of customer service that I came across with many of the people I spoke with who were seemingly far too busy to listen to my enquiry.
Cost is without doubt an important element with any purchase especially during the difficult financial times that we are currently facing. The difference in price for what were essentially the same product was again some what alarming. I managed to obtain the best deals online, in fact these deals were by far the best.
After deciding that I was going to purchase online I was then looking for a company that complied with the distance selling regulations – you would be surprised at how many of these companies do not comply or who are seemingly not aware of the regulations.
And finally I was looking for a company that could offer me a prompt delivery time.
In conclusion if you follow the above four criteria you will not go far wrong when making your purchase for an air compressor.
