Sourcing Low Cost Air Compressors
If you are attempting to source affordable air compressors or industrial compressors then this article may well be worth a read. I am buyer for a small to medium manufacturing company based in the West Midlands, England and I have recently had to also locate these types of products. I was, I am more than pleased to report, eventually able to secure a real great deal and in this article I will be writing about the way in which I managed to do this.
Eight months ago my boss gave me a task to purchase a new air compressor. He was most insistent that I did not spend a vast amount of money on this product as in his words “We are going through some very tough economic times Steve, and our finances are not in the best of shapes”. Well that sure was some what reassuring!
I had a number of ideas as to where I was going to search for this portable air compressor. I was going to speak with my great many contacts – a list of contacts that I have built up over the last fifteen years that I have worked as a buyer for this company.
I was then going to look at the classified adverts in the local magazines, the local newspapers plus the old favourite – the yellow pages. In reality do people still use the yellow pages as for me it has gone down hill big time?
I was then going to search online. In the end I wish I had reversed this order as the only avenue that proved to be of any real value was online. The prices that I managed to find online were way cheaper than anywhere else.
From now on I will be looking online at the outset!
